1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? dated, smoked hooka, drank hard liquer, graduated high school, started college, dyed my hair (the tips), saw GC live (twice!), saw Green Day live, won a concert, got a cell phone, saw Rocky Horror live
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't remember my resultion from last year
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? no
4. Did anyone close to you die? we weren't especially close but it was still really bad
5. What countries did you visit? Israel, Mexico
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? reliable friends, trust in myself, freedom
7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Oct 29/30- I started going out with Evan
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? my academic award (aka the scholarship that enabled me to go to Albion)
9. What was your biggest failure? the SATs, high school in general
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? a really bad sinus infection when I was in Israel
11. What was the best thing you bought? well I hope it'll be the gifts I bough/burned for my friends over break
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Ariel, Caryn
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? the assholes I was forced to see everyday in high school, the fottball-minded idiots at Albion
14. Where did most of your money go? clothes, books
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? getting to fly to Utah with Mandi to see GC, Jet, and Green Day in concert!!!
16. What song will always remind you of 2004? Green Day's American Idiot

b) Thinner or fatter? I'll lose any weight I put on once I get back to school
c) Richer or poorer? poorer!
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Carpe Diem. I would've liked to take action whether it was asking more guys out or getting revege on my enemies

20. How will you be spending Christmas? in Florida, going to the flea market with all the other Jews cuz it's the only thing open

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? yea, all the assholes I've met at college

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? The Missing:, Coheed and Cambria

29. What did you want and not get? there are like 6 CDs I want...
30. What was your favorite film of this year? Napoleon Dynamite
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 18. I was in Israel and hung out with my friends before we all had to go back to the airport.
32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? If I could have castrated a certain someone...or just messed with his car
33. How would you deescribe your personal fashion concept in 2004? I don’t have a fashion concept
34. What kept you sane? my friends, music
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Good Charlotte, Green Day, Jack Black
36. What political issue stirred you the most? How prop 2 was presented and ultimately passed
37. Who did you miss? Elektra, Ari, Eric, Nathan, Ruslan, Keren, Aaron, Josh
38. Who was the best new person you met? Ariel, Evan, Jessie, meghan, Ashly

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: People are simple-minded, easily scared creatures that like to lump people and things into categories then name them because it makes them feel like they have power over it, it's less scary. Only problem is each group has a set of stigmas attached and if someone even remotely fits into the category they are bombarded with an invisible set of rules you can't escape. If you do something that validates their categorization people nod their head, happy that their little world makes sense. If you do something contrary to their ideas of how you should be, they figure you're just the exception. I detest labels...
