my night from hell
Oct. 19th, 2004 12:17 amYea, so I still have to finish one of my papers. I figured I'd work on it after dinner and a Hillel meeting but that didn't happen. Ariel and I were eating dinner when 2 of our friends sat down and joined us. We ended up talking for an hour, we talked for so long we watched the cafeteria people clean up Baldwin around us! We took this as a cue to leave and continued our convesation in the hall. Then the (damn lucky) Seaton people walked the couple of feet it took to get to Seaton from Baldwin while Ariel and I trekked back to Wesley. How cold was it? I got frost-bitten on both legs!
I returned to my room only to find my roomate was having another of her infamous movie nights. I grabbed my winter stuff and convinced Ariel to go on a walk with me. We can't walk our normal route anymore, there are dogs and really sensitive house alarms...After only one lap around the school (instead of our usual 3) we went back inside to visit Elyssa and Meghan. We hung out for a while then went back upstairs. I saw one of my enemies on the staircase so I waited a minute before going up the stairs. When I got to the top of the staircase I saw him leaning against the door so I pulled hard on the handle, hoping he'd fall. I definitly took him by surprise, except I couldn't even enjoy it cuz he was al smug about it. I made my dramatic exit... into a dead-end hallway!
Then we went to our side of the 3rd floor. Turns out Ariel's room was occupied so we went to the eat shop for ice cream intead (best part of the whole night). Of course everyone here treats me like I'm 8, not 18. The eat shop person gave me my cone and a plastic cup "in case I spill." What the fuck?!
After ice cream we went back to Ariel's room- still occupied. I didn't want to trudge back into my room to get my laptop so I sat down outside Jesse and Ariel's room (after I jumped up and down like a 5 year old cuz I was so fucking frustrated- and yet another guy looked at me like I was on crack). Ariel sat down next to me and we talked until we heard the door open and 2 very guilty-looking boys came out. Now I'm lying on Ariel's floor with a blanket wrapped around me, I'm in kind of a shitty mood...hopefully I'll be out of it by tomorrow.
