Here's the plan: You comment with your username, and people will comment ANONYMOUSLY with things they love and cherish about you. I say anonymously because it makes the atmosphere lighter and more mysterious, kind of like a Secret Santa only with love and holiday cheer! People will wonder who these caring people are and appreciate the fact that they exist, not only the fact that they may be best friends with them.
Then find people you care about and have something nice to say to - even if you don't know them! - and leave them something that will make their heart feel a little warmer at night. This way, the love will go around and around and the magical spirit of the season can be cherished and appreciated by all.
And now, the thing I am most proud of...the thing I can not wait to take to school and show off...
Ladies and gentlemen,
I have more stuff, this is just a) my favorite stuff and b) the stuff I took pictures of after changing the batteries in my camera today
::ANNOUNCEMENT::
Dec. 26th, 2005 04:42 pmDue to the recent influx of people finding my journal through random search and verbally attacking my entries, I have decided to do something I should have done a while ago (back when a certain someone was using LJ to make me very uncomfortable...). I've decided to make my journal Friends Only starting with the next entry. I may decide sometime later to switch back to my previous format but until then I'm gonna try this.
I have you all on my friends list so don't worry. If I don't have you added already, it'll be the standard comment-and-be-added procedure.
That is all.

Doug, this is for you

Happy Holidays
Dec. 8th, 2005 11:44 pmIt was either the Daily Show or The Colbert Report that called Christmas the only religious federal holiday and it's true. EVERYTHING is closed on Christmas. Christmas specials flood the tv starting after Thanksgiving (if you're lucky). You almost can't live in America without knowing all about Christmas but how much is said about other holidays this time of year?
See the article: http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/targetxmas.asp
and another one found on the same site that makes me laugh: http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/target.asp

Oh Great Cthulhu!
I have been an extremely diligent devotee this year.
In September, I bombed a cultist gathering (-100 points). In May, I visited my relatives in Innsmouth (100 points). In April, I legally changed my name to Randolph Carter (-40 points). In February, I defiled the grave of that traitor, Lovecraft (90 points). In June, I fed virtual_rabbi to a Shoggoth (250 points). Yesterday, I wore an Elder Sign (-10 points).
In short, I have been very good (290 points) and deserve to be promoted to High Priest.
Your humble and obedient servant,

Submit your own plea to Cthulhu!
Hm... that might have worked if he wasn't eaten.
I meant to post this a while ago

Pure Geek 47 % Nerd, 56% Geek, 43% Dork |
For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored better than half in Geek, earning you the title of: Pure Geek. It's not that you're a school junkie, like the nerd, and you don't really stand out in a crowd, like the dork, you just have some interests that aren't quite mainstream. Perhaps it's anime, perhaps it's computers, perhaps it's bottlecaps, perhaps it's all of those and more. Your interests take you to events and gatherings that are filled with people you find unusual and beyond-the-pale, but you don't quite consider yourself "of that crowd." Instead, you consider yourself to be fairly normal. Which, you are. Congratulations! You're the one on the RIGHT! overworked and underpaid
Nov. 28th, 2005 02:32 pmYesterday I got back to my dorm at 2pm and was reading until 3am. I have to admit, I did take a break to see Meg, another to eat, and yeat another to see Evan. I made it past the halfway point when my eyes started to hurt. When I sat up to get ready for bed, I felt a sharp pain in my side (and by "side" I mean from under my arm to my waist). The pain was so sharp, I couldn't breathe! I laid back down, paralized with pain, not being able to breathe or move. Evan pulled me off the bed and forced me to stretch. After some light stretching I was able to move and breate again. Evan thinks this was due to my lack of activity (I spend all my time either sitting in class, sitting or laying down and doing hw, or standing during work).
Unfortunately, today wasn't any better...
wow, too many updates for one day
