I'm actually having a really good day
Oct. 22nd, 2004 11:31 amLast night was fun, I stayed up til one researching Rocky Horror and Rocky virgin sacrifices. I was researching RHPS for a paper on culture (which my teacher loved btw), I was researching virgin rituals for the show. If the theatre puts on RHPS, Ariel and I will be the two there that know the most about the movie so we'll be in charge. I came up with the idea that we should try to do as much preshow stuff as possible. Since I'm in the Bible belt that is Albion there are very many virgins I could have fun with (plz comment with any "virgin sacrifices" you've seen and liked).
I finally fell asleep at 2, woke up at 8:30 cuz English was cancelled. I had a pretty disturbing nightmare but other than that I slept really well and actually woke up feeling well rested. When I came back from the shower my roomate was gone so not only did I miss her usual country music concert, I actually got to blast my music!
I had to go to a conference with my English teacher instead of class, I got there and my old crush was in there with her (things are a little weird between us). I could hear him talking to her and felt some of those old feelings creeping back. When I met with her she told me she liked my other paper and agreed with my Creative writing major. I liked talking with her, it was really nice.
Drum lessons went ok (despite the fact I haven't practiced for 2 weeks). I think some if it is actually starting to stick, I just have to practice. The other girl didn't show up so I got a private lesson. I also finally got through to the music store to order my supplies.
After drums I went back to the room to clean. I was sitting at my computer checking my e-mail and singing along with Korn's "freak on a leash" when Chris came in. He was like "you're not Elaine..." I fought the urge to tell him that if he called me "Elaine" again I'd have to hurt him. He introduced himself, which I thought was funny because we've met, he hangs out in Jessie and Ariel's room sometimes. I told him that and he was just like "oh." We learned about this in psych, when you see someone in a certain context all the time (ex: always in Jessie and Ariel's room) you do not recognize them outside of that context. Anyway it was cool, he complimented my music instead of blatanly staring at me like other people do. He also started calling me "Rae," I've been trying since 6th grade to get people to call me Rae cuz it's kinda cool. Right now the only one that calls me Rae is my mother.
