more Hanukkah hijinks

Today was the last day of classes so my seminar class decided to celebrate by doing secret santa. We all picked names before Thanksgiving and worked hard to find presents. Secret Santa went as follows: we went by birthmonth from youngest to oldest and watched as they opened the gift and tried to guess who it was from.

When it was my turn I was handed a little red package. I reached in and pulled out....a pair of Rudolph socks. They were black with raindeer and lyrics from various christmas carols on them. There was a moment of silence as I looked down at the socks. Then Jessie and I started craking up. No one understood why we were laughing until someone (Hannah?) reminded everyone that I'm Jewish. Then EVERYONE started laughing, except my secret santa, who looked really embarassed.

Hilarity insued as I checked my KC box after class. We all got Christmas cards from our advisors. I was talking to Jessie, being sarcastic about how excited I was to get a Christmas card, then I opened it and found a slight.... modification
